About Us
We're The Bread Board, and we've been a bakery here in Pella, IA since 2018. We believe that homemade food tastes better. That's why we make everything from scratch in our bakery, from our signature sourdough artisan bread to pastries and soups. We're looking forward to partnering with Cedar Rapids, Des Moines, Iowa City, and the surrounding area to continue to offer bread made fresh, baked on-site, and crafted to bring out the best in every recipe. You order at the counter and pay and then go up when it is ready.
I went with the soup of the day (a pesto tortellini) and half a grilled cheese sandwich which came on sourdough. Both were very good! I want to try more of the breads next time!

It smells amazing when you step inside, the bakery and the lunch was fabulous, the special of cinnamon roll bread pudding was incredible! The staff were friendly and inviting, nice clean bathrooms for customers, and a wonderful atmosphere.

Limited menu but what was on it, was amazing. Homemade bread and other goodies. Get there early for lunch or you won't get a table.

Food is great, now I'm not a bread pudding person because I'm not 90, but saw it at the breadboard and had to try it. WOW!

Trifecta of food, service and ambience! I've had chicken salad croissant, summer salad, incredible bread puddings, bakery goods. All awesome. The bakery will sell out almost every day so if that's your jam, get there early for best selection. The rosemary braid pictured is about 8" long and made of croissant dough. Wonderful!
